Canada’s decision to name a special representative on combatting Islamophobia, Amira Elghawaby has been controversial to say the least. Some have criticised the move on a number of levels and others have in turn been called Islamophobic for their opposition. And yet the elephant in the room is that the single greatest Islamophobes are jihadis, aka Islamist terrorists. Borealis looks at this issue in the context of how to frame Islamophobia.

You send along some good stuff. I have your book “When Religion Kills”. I thought there might be something in it about Opus Dei threatening people, and maybe even killing some. But such was not the case. However I do believe that OD is active in keeping politicians and others away from monkeying with the public funding of Roman Catholic separate school systems in Canada. I made CSIS aware of this, but of course I get no return message.
