Israel hits Hizballah hard: so what’s next?

Israel’s audacious attack on Hizballah through explosive pagers is said by some to be a game-changer, but is it?

Episode 250 – How to target terrorists and minimise civilian casualties? Ask Israel

The recent explosion of pagers owned by Hizballah members in Lebanon came as a shocker, in my view. Upwards of 3,000 (three THOUSAND) pagers were detonated almost simultaneously on September 17, killing a dozen or so people and wounding many hundreds. While no one took credit for this operation it does not take a rocket scientist to know it was Israel and, from an intelligence/counter-terrorism lens, it was a brilliant move. So, how does Hizballah respond and what does this mean for violence in the area and internationally?
