Does Canada have a coherent policy on East Asia? A chat with Jonathan Berkshire-Miller

Canada does not seem to have a coherent, effective set of ideas on how to deal with China and the threats it poses to our interests.

Buzzsprout Canadian Intelligence Eh! Episode 143 – a chat with Jonathan Berkshire-Miller on Canada’s inadequate East Asia policies.

To say that Canada’s policies towards the PRC (China) are in a mess is a serious understatement. Despite warnings for decades by Canadian intelligence, a succession of governments does not seem to be taking the threats the PRC poses to our economy and to Canadian Chinese citizens seriously enough. To weigh in on these issues, Borealis welcomes China specialist Jonathan Berkshire-Miller to the Canadian Intelligence Eh! podcast.

Canadian Intelligence Eh

In a world of multiple voices and opinions it can be very hard to know where to turn.  One choice is to look to those who actually worked in counter-terrorism in the national security world. In these half-hour podcasts, 30-year Canadian intelligence veteran Phil Gurski is joined by a fascinating array of individuals with something meaningful to say about these issues as they provide insight into what they mean and what we need to do about them.
