Podcast 44 – The Role(s) of Women in Terrorism (with Mia Bloom)

Phil Gurski talks with Canadian scholar Mia Bloom from Georgia State University about her decades of work looking at women, children and terrorism.

If you think that terrorism is largely all about men behaving violently you might want to think again.  Women get involved too, sometimes as actors and not victims.  And then there are the children.

I talk with Canadian scholar Mia Bloom from Georgia State University about her decades of work looking at women, children and terrorism.

Mia M. Bloom is a Canadian academic and author and Professor of Communication at Georgia State University. She was formerly an associate Professor of International Studies at the Pennsylvania State University in University Park and a fellow at the International Center for the Study of Terrorism at Penn State.
