February 7, 2018: Failed suicide bombing in Iraq

On February 7, 2018 a female suicide terrorist was shot dead by Iraqi security forces before she could detonate her device

BAGHDAD, IRAQ – Thank God some terrorists are not the sharpest pencils in the box!

Is there anything more frightening than a suicide bomber? There you are, sitting in a streetside café, or walking through a market, or lined up at a school and wham! a terrorist with a suicide vest/belt detonates his/her load causing death and destruction.

The worst part of it is the difficulty in telling which ones are carrying the device. It is easily concealed under a bulky coat or sweater and good terrorists are adept at not getting noticed. Before they are – boom!

Nope, no suicide belt here! (Photo: www.bluewaikiki.com on flickr, CC BY 2.0)

Luckily, some terrorists are not the most capable.

On this day in 2018

A female terrorist wearing a body-borne explosive device hid in a school north of Baghdad, her ultimate destination unknown. Iraqi police were able to locate her and shot her, leading to her death. The suicide belt reportedly detonated afterward: it is unclear whether she died from the bullets or the explosive.

We are doing it for God’s sake. We are doing it as jihad.

Voice of another Iraqi female suicide terrorist

Iraq got lucky this time. Lord knows they have not on many other occasions.
