Is ISIS the new ‘role model’ for Islamist terrorism?

The Hamas terrorist attack on Israel is bad enough: what does it mean that some of the attackers unfurled an ISIS flag on Israeli territory?

Episode 228 – What to make of a jihadi terrorist who thinks ISIS has it right?

It is hard to fathom just what the impact of the Hamas incursion/terrorist attack into Israel last Saturday (October 7) will be. Events continue to shift and one thing, at least, seems clear: whatever Israel does and however Hamas and others respond this is far from over. Terrorist attacks are bad enough, and this one has been one of the most lethal in decades (estimates as of October 12 say more than 1200 Israelis were killed), but what is particularly worrisome is a photo showing an Islamic State (ISIS) flag in a kibbutz near the Israeli border with Gaza.
