May 4, 2016: Jihadi attack kills children in Syria

On May 4, 2016 Jabhat Al-Nusra attacked a village of in Syria, killing 15 civilians, including 4 children.

KHWEEN, SYRIA – For God’s (or Allah’s or Yahweh’s or Buddha’s or…) sake can we agree that children are not legitimate targets for terrorism?

It should come as a surprise to a grand total of nobody that terrorists are a heinous bunch of people. They carry out highly destructive attacks on a wide variety of targets and maim and/or kill a wide variety of people. There does not seem to be neither rhyme nor reason on who gets in their way.

Whatever one thinks of terrorist goals and the ‘legitimacy’ of their tactics, there should be at least one maxim we all agree on: no killing children. Children have absolutely nothing to do with whatever grievance a given terrorist group has and, consequently, should not find themselves in the crosshairs of a terrorist shooter or suicide bomber or IED (improvised explosive device) placer.

Tell that to the terrorists, especially the jihadis.

On this day in 2016

Jabhat Al-Nusra (JN) attacked the village of Khween in the southern countryside of Idleb province in Syria, killing 15 civilians, including 4 children, and destroying a number of residential houses.

We are Syrian mujahideen, back from various jihad fronts to restore God’s rule on the Earth and avenge the Syrians’ violated honour and spilled blood.

Um, killing kids is part of restoring God’s rule on Earth? I don’t think so!
