On December 8, 2017 14 UN personnel were killed and a further 53 wounded in the DRC by ISIS-linked Allied Democratic Forces jihadis.

On November 16, 2018 ADF jihadis killed at least seven UN peacekeepers and 12 Congolese soldiers near the DRC city of Beni.
