Why the recent arrests of Hamas terrorists in Germany matter

The war in Gaza has heightened calls among jihadi groups for terrorist attacks in the West and particularly against Jews. What does all this mean?

The war in Gaza, caused directly by a heinous attack by the Islamist terrorist group Hamas on Israel on October 7, had led to fears of more terrorism in the West. The Netherlands has raised its threat level to the second highest and the US’ FBI has warned that “we are in a dangerous period” as various terrorist groups look to leverage the conflict for their own causes. Now Germany has announced the arrest of three Hamas supporters planning terrorist attacks on Jewish institutions. What does all this mean? My chat with the CBC’s Natasha Fatah looks at this issue.
