Episode 228 – What’s up with left-wing terrorism?
We have long associated terrorism with Islamist extremists or jihadis…until recently. Now many think the only threat worth worried about is far right terrorism, a nebulous term that includes, among others, white nationalists, neo-Nazis, fascists, etc. Yet there have been a number of attacks of late that were carried out by far left terrorists. Why is no one talking about it?
In a world of multiple voices and opinions it can be very hard to know where to turn. One choice is to look to those who actually worked in counter-terrorism and foreign intelligence in the national security world. In these short podcasts, 30-year Canadian intelligence veteran Phil Gurski looks at these issues and provides insight into what they mean and what we need to do about them.
